Distance Learning Resources

We use a Learning Management Software (LMS) called EdsbyEdsby is a cloud-based software application that combines social networking with class and student management features. It is a learning management system with data aggregation and analytics features for K-12 students, teachers, and parents.

Edsby is designed to meet the needs of K-12 parents with tools that are purpose-built to help parents to review their child’s academic progress, stay up-to-date on school and classroom announcements, as well as communicate with their children’s teachers.

Parents:

Edsby has been chosen by Cottonwood Day School to provide a way for you to follow your child’s progress throughout the school year.

How do I get an Edsby parent account?  Once your child is enrolled at Cottonwood Day School, you will receive an Edsby account through a special invitation email.

Please see the following videos for help with setting up your parent account, downloading the Edsby App, and more.

Students:

Edsby energizes student learning and supports student success.  Edsby knows what classes, assignments and homework students have got. It knows their timetable and where they need to be through the day. It helps them track and manage their activities by showing all the events and classes scheduled for today, as well as important upcoming events and assignments. It’ll even remind students when they need to do things.

Consistency is Key!

It is important to keep consistency for your child during these challenging times. We recommend creating a daily routine for your child. The resources below may be helpful to incorporate into a daily routine. We will continue to add resources, so please check back.

Suggested Activities for Elementary Students with Special Needs

A great first step for you is to be familiar with your student’s ISP and areas of need.  Knowing the language in your student’s ISP will be helpful as you consider the activities and areas of focus best suited for your student’s needs.

We have compiled resources, links and activities to structure your day with your child. Work with your child in each content area for the amount of time that works best for your child. Feel free to repeat any activity from any day of the week during your work time with your child.

There are materials for multiple content areas such as Adaptive, Math, and Movement.  Activities can be done in any order that fits for your family.
